Our Commitment to Accessibility
LinShield is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.
We believe that the web should be accessible to all, and we strive to make our website and application platform usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our goal is to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Accessibility Feedback: If you experience any accessibility barriers on our website, please contact us at
[email protected]. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address your concerns promptly.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Current Status: Partially Conformant
LinShield is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Standards We Follow
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
- Section 508: U.S. federal accessibility requirements for electronic and information technology
- EN 301 549: European standard for ICT products and services accessibility requirements
- ADA Title III: Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for public accommodations
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features across our website and application:
Navigation and Structure
- Semantic HTML: Proper use of HTML5 semantic elements (header, nav, main, footer, article, section) for clear document structure
- Heading Hierarchy: Logical heading structure (H1-H6) that allows screen reader users to navigate by headings
- Skip Links: Skip navigation links to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive content
- Consistent Navigation: Navigation menus are consistent across all pages
- Breadcrumbs: Clear indication of location within the site hierarchy where applicable
Visual Design
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Color Independence: Information is not conveyed by color alone; visual indicators supplement color-coded information
- Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Responsive Design: Content adapts to different screen sizes and orientations
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus states for all interactive elements
Keyboard Accessibility
- Full Keyboard Navigation: All functionality is accessible using only a keyboard
- Logical Tab Order: Interactive elements follow a logical and intuitive focus order
- No Keyboard Traps: Users can navigate to and from all interactive elements without getting trapped
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Standard keyboard shortcuts are supported where applicable
Screen Reader Support
- Alt Text: Meaningful alternative text for all informative images
- ARIA Labels: ARIA attributes are used to enhance accessibility where native HTML is insufficient
- Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels
- Error Identification: Form errors are clearly identified and described in text
- Live Regions: Dynamic content updates are announced to screen readers
Multimedia
- No Auto-Playing Media: Audio and video content does not play automatically
- Pause/Stop Controls: Moving or auto-updating content can be paused, stopped, or hidden
